Soap Box: Only at the Whytehouse

Only at this house would a military spouse have a deployed husband, have to move in 60 days, and start teaching her son to ride without the training wheels. WHO DOES THAT? As if I don't have enough going on, I am not adding running after the man child trying not to trip him but trying to keep him from falling too bad. Today was day 2 and it ended in tears and sobs of "I want my Daddy!" LOL. I don't take it personally because I know he'd rather have me, Daddy would more than likely go ahead and let him fall.

I think I'm concluding that I must be out of my mind...Anywho, on to the house. Looks like the house is ours. We had the home inspection yesterday and the things it revealed were all manageable. So we're pretty happy. We got back our addendum back signed late yesterday and I sent it on to my lender this morning. So I'm hoping their initial date of closing June 13th will still stand. Whoo-hoo!

Now that does have us out for a little while but it may work out as well. It may give me the chance to have hardwood put in the additional rooms before we even move things in. And maybe a little paint too, lol. We'll see. It hit me today that I may want to look into a pod. They can pick it up and bring it back. Wonder how much it costs? I'll keep you posted!

And thanks for reading. All of you. Really! It meant a lot to me to hear a friend say she checks it everyday. Also, made me  feel a little guilty that I haven't had the chance to post much lately. Hopefully, I'll have more breathing rooms to get back into a good routine soon.

Lastly, Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband. 9 years in the making and more than loving each other, we like each other more every day. (He did good! Sent chocolate covered strawberries from Shari's Berries, along with a trio of individual cheesecakes, YUM).
