Soap Box: Product Review

Today's Product Review, Honey Butter RITZ Crackers. In a word...YUM! It's still the buttery melt-in-your-month flavor you've grown to love from RITZ, only it's slightly sweet. Don't think graham cracker sweet, literally just a touch of honey but soooo good.

I couponed for these a couple of month ago and decided to try a variety of flavors since I'm paying little to nothing for them, and  got a winner. Eat them plain or with peanut butter. Better yet, I tried this recipe from the back of the box and wanted more after eating 6 of them. Should you get the chance, they are worth a try.

PB Mallow Fruit Bites
1/4 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
1/4 cup Jet-Puffed Marshmallow Creme
24 Honey Butter RITZ crackers
1 banana, cut into 24 slices
24 strawberry slices (abt 1/2 cup)
Ground Cinnamon

Mix peanut butter and marshmallow cream until swirled but not completely blended. Spread onto crackers. Top each w/ a banana slice and strawberry slice. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.

Note: if you want to eat this for breakfast, substitute cream cheese spread for marshmallow cream. You can also substitute crunchy peanut butter for creamy.

Product Review: Just Bunches Cereal!

I love, love, love Honey Bunches of Oats Just Bunches mixed w/ dried cranberries, marshmallows, and even pretzels. Yum! I love, love, love to eat it plain, as my afternoon snack. But I Do Not love, love, love Just Bunches for its intended purpose; a bowl of cereal.

Cereal should be light, sweet, crunchy, and easy to eat. The texture of Just Bunches is  too overwhelming for my tastes. It just feels heavy. Now, if you enjoy granola cereals or something like Grape Nuts for breakfast, then this is a match for you. But for me, granola has to be broken up with something. It takes more time to chew. A whole bowl of clusters, clumped together, getting soggy together; is not my idea of a great bowl of morning cereal. You should look forward to eating a bowl of cereal not laying your head on the table wondering "is it over yet?"

As a snack, Just Bunches is sweet, crunchy, and satisfying! So if you can snag them for $1/ box like I did, you are in good shape. If you find a great sale and you have to choose solely based on eating it for breakfast; I vote for the regular Honey Bunches of Oats...flakes and all for me, please!

Product Review: Edward Singles

Got another product I want to review this week, Edwards Singles. You can normally find these for about $2.50. I had $1/1 coupons and tried them out during the Harris Teeter dollar doubler promo. For 50 cents a piece, I was willing to give them a go.

Two single size portions come in each box. Now for dessert lovers, this could be a problem. the portions are really a single serving, you will not be sharing with your kids. And you will more than likely be upset there isn't more at the end. I love sweets! But I'm really trying to cut back on my sugar intake. My single serve portion and an actual daily calorie intake portion are very different. So these are perfect for where I am right now (trying to be healthier). They are just enough to have something sweet at the end of my meal, yet I don't feel guilty. It won't undo your day!

I tried the key lime pie, pecan pie, and cheesecake. Although, I'm not crazy in love with the cheesecake, it is not the worst I've ever had. I think a topping of any kind would enhance the flavor.

Overall, for the price, I loved them and do believe it's safe to say even without a coupon, I would pick them up from time to time.

Have you tried the Edward's Singles? What did you think? Post your comment

Product Review: Scrubbing Bubbles

Hey Folks,

I decided it may be cool to do some product reviews for a lot of the things we're couponing for. This way, you know when a good coupon is out and if it may be something you'd like to try or stock up on, if you haven't already.

Scrubbing Bubbles...Extend A Clean, Daily Shower Cleaner

It just so happened I picked up another one of these FREE at Target today. I had one more of the $5 off coupon, then I paired it with a $3 Target Web coupon. It is on sale for $6.99, making it free + overage. Whoo-hoo!!!

I'm currently using the Daily shower cleanse. I like the bottle design with the auto-trigger to release the spray. I haven't had any trouble with it leaking, so that is a double bonus. And the batteries are already included, so no extra equipment to buy. Finally the bottle comes with a lock and unlock switch, which is always helpful with little people around. The smell is pleasant, although sometimes I feel it can be a little strong when the man child is in the room. (we are very careful when it comes to his allergies and his lungs). But as long as he's out of the room...we're good.

Most importantly, it IS keeping the tub and shower liner clean, shower after shower. We make sure we've been spraying as soon as the shower is done, while it's still wet. And just to be sure we are using it in 2 different bathrooms with different shower types (the other, a glass door shower only). Bottom line, if you are in the market for a product that works, I do recommend you pick it up.  The only trouble, it's pricey without a coupon, averaging $6.99 on sale to $8.99/bottle. So couponing is the best route. Today's free find makes 1 bottle in use and 5 bottles in my stockpile.  Oh Happy Day!
