Soap Box: How To Move in 60 days (Day 6 & 7)

Day 6: Get with a realtor and hope they aren't too busy to show you something.

*Our new realtor is Evelyn and right from the start she's been doing her best to help us on the fly. As soon as I called her (9:15), she began to ask about our needs and price range and said she'd get something to me by 1pm. I received an email at 1:30pm along with a few listings and an apology that is wasn't within the time frame she mentioned earlier. I love anyone who does their very best to keep their word. That's good business.

I've now seen 3 properties with 54 days to go but not bad for the first 24 hours of getting started. However, nervousness is starting to settle in.

So I had to focus on what I could control...regardless of where I'm going, I MUST pack, huh? Today's Tip: Designate an area for packing/moving. Mine is the "newly retired" exercise room. As I begin to organize and pack things up, boxes, space bags, and storage tubs will reside there so I  can see what I have done and what still needs to be done. It also allows me to take my time and label and color code things for an easy unpack on the other end and keep our house tidy and clean during the packing process.

Day 7: Research, Contemplate, Worry, & Wait Some More.

*Today is kind of a bust. I have appointments in the morning and our realtor is booked for the remainder of the evening. Booooooo. To top it all off, 2 properties I ask about this morning are under contract, making them unavailable at this time. But I can say, to have ask about them this morning, Eveylyn found out the info and at least emailed me although she can't see me today. Gotta love that. Hmmmmm....still on the fence about renting verses buying and shopping for both at the same time may not have been my best idea. But I've got to do, what I've got to do. Here's to finding a solution...tomorrow...I hope, lol.
