Kids Ask the Darndest Things...HELP!

I've had to start a look up board for the man child. He asks his toughest questions as soon as his eyes open and just before bed. I feel like I'm a great mom but people, I'm not prepared for this stage. He gives me no easy questions. The day before yesterday it was, "Mommy, how did God make us". And I felt I had given him a pretty good "mommy like" answer..."He made us one by one, special and different." I didn't know what to say but felt it was age appropriate since I can't even explain what/who God is.

Understand, I really felt good about this answer and was mentally patting myself on the back. He allows me to finish and then says, "No mommy, I mean our insides. You know our bones and stuff." WHOAH! I just wanted to lay out in the floor. I couldn't say anything other than, "I'm not real sure how to explain that son." And he let it go.

Yesterday, it was:
  • How are stuffed animals made?
  • How are cars made? (he loves cars and really anything with wheels)
  • Why do pigs snort?
  • What does it sound like when pigs whine?
  • What are piano's made from? (we nor anyone we know even has a piano!!!)
I'm floored. All really good questions but folks, I haven't got the answers. And I have the feeling, we're just getting started. All I know if to write them down, take one a day, google or you tube them, preview, and find out together. But if you've got any tips, tricks, stories, advice, or forewarnings...please leave a comment! Oh, and prayers are always welcome, lol. (now back to your regularly scheduled programming)

love this blog :) have you and the one full of questions tried Build a Bear at the mall? My two curious ones loved it because they could see how the bear was made/stuffed! Could be a great rainy day activity :)
